Cora

Cora is a vocalist and songwriter based in Vancouver, British Columbia, whose ethereal vocal tone and powerful range bring emotional depth to electronic music. Blending future bass, trance, and deep house, her music explores themes of spirituality, identity, relationships, and the complexities of the human experience.
Raised by her grandmother, a children’s music teacher, Cora began formal vocal training at age six with the VIVA Youth Choirs. She later performed in award-winning vocal ensembles, including a high school vocal jazz choir, and received a solo award to workshop at the Victoria Conservatory of Music.
Cora began writing songs at fifteen while studying music composition, earning first place in the SASS songwriting competition. After discovering the underground electronic scene, she began writing toplines for electronic producers. Her track “Swim” with Ghost Etiquette was featured on A State of Trance by Armin van Buuren.
